Founded in 1955, The Scholarship Foundation was originally conceived as an outgrowth of the Youth Work Foundation’s programming. Since then, the Scholarship Foundation has grown tremendously, awarding nearly 1,000 students with Union League Scholarships for post-high school education. Awards total nearly $4 million.
These young scholars distinguish themselves by their character, leadership and service to their community. The rigorous submission process includes a comprehensive application and an interview with the Board of Trustees of the Scholarship Foundation. Once selected, these scholars become part of the Union League community. They are welcomed to attend programming conducted solely for the purpose of creating this community and furthering their education in ways beyond what is offered by the regular collegiate curriculum.
