Congratulations!

You have been nominated as a Good Citizenship Awardee of Youth Work Day 2012.

On May 17, 2012, you will be joining nearly 300 other high school juniors who have also been nominated to receive the Good Citizenship Award this year. In receiving this award you will join over 14,000 other students who have received the award since 1946.

The League’s motto Love of Country Leads is the guiding principle in the selection of the approximately 300 young men and women each year who receive the League’s Good Citizenship Award each year. The award consists of a medal, certificate and a small cash prize. Nominated by nearly 50 selected youth agencies, you were nominated as a leader in your community, following in the 150-year tradition of League member’s serving the greater community.

About Youth Work Day:

The day begins at 8am with a morning program followed by lunch at the League and an afternoon spent at the Federal Courthouse, where students are a part of a mock trial. Awardees return to the League for a dinner program, where special guests will address the Awardees, awards will be presented and raffle prizes will be given out.

Family and friends can watch the dinner program through live streaming. A link for live streaming will be on both www.unionleague.org and www.ulheritagecenter.org, available in the afternoon of May 17, 2012.
